German SUEDZUCKER, the leading European sugar group, has acquired the Belgian company REMY INDUSTRIES (turnover EUR 40 million in 2000 with 105 employees), specialised in the production of starch and rice flour, for an undisclosed amount. The operation was carried out through ORAFTI, the Belgian subsidiary of SUEDZUCKER.
