Green light for e.on acquisition of Powergen

Brussels, 26/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the take over of British company Powergen Plc by German company E.ON AG - both are major players in the energy industry. The Commission has concluded that the activities of the two parties do not overlap in any of the EEA countries where the two companies are present, with the exception of Scandinavia and the Netherlands.
