06/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - At last week's Research Council, Commissioner Philippe Busquin proposed the creation of a group of national experts, notably from defence and research ministries, in view of drawing up an inventory of research activities and scientific expertise capabilities in the field of combating bio-terrorism. This group will also have to identify needs relating to research and set out an agenda for this. This proposal received the backing of the Research Ministers.
