06/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - Jean-Paul Béchat, President of SNECMA (the aeronautics and space propulsion and equipment group), has been elected president of the European Association of Aerospace Industries, AECMA, for the period 2001/2002. He takes over from EADS President, Rainer Hertrich.
