ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) piggyback (rail)

In France, the rail company SNCF and the rail carriage manufacturer LOHR INDUSTRIE have announced the creation of a joint undertaking for the implementation, end 2002 or early 2003, of a first piggback service in the Alps. The holding company will be held at 51% by SNCF PARTICIPATIONS and at 49% by MODALHOR.
