ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

A third bid has been made for the German bank BANKGESELLSCHAFT BERLIN by the American company TPG - TEXAS PACIFIC GROUP, at the minimum price of EUR 1.75 billion. The two other bids come from FLOWERS associated to Japanese LONG-TERM CREDIT BANK (renamed SHINSEI), ABN AMRO, CITIGROUP and UBS, on one hand, and from the public Hanover bank NORDLB allied to Association des caisses d'épargne (DSGV), on the other.
