18/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The United Nations General Assembly, due to open in New York on 24 September, will probably be postponed for several weeks following the 11 September terrorist attacks in New York and Washington. The decision will be taken formally on Wednesday and will mark a first in the history of the United Nations.
