France's ALTRAD (EUR 129.5 million turnover in 2000) has acquired two companies - Germany's BAUMANN (EUR 5.3 million annual turnover) that specialises in the sale of scaffolding, security products and small construction equipment, for EUR 5.3 million, and the UK's third largest cement mixer manufacturer BARONIX (making 8000 units a year).
