The French parts producer VALEO (net losses of EUR 185 million during the first half of 2001) intends to sell its non-strategic activities amounting to 15% of its turnover, that is 5% more than its initial target announced in the spring. Hit by the slowdown in the automobile market in the United States, VALEO had announced that it would intensify its restructuring and sell activities amounting to 10% of its turnover.
