Brussels, 12/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The city of Bergen, Norway, will, from 18 to 20 September, host the 13th EU Contest of Young Scientists. 95 young scientists, aged 15 to 20, coming from all over Europe as well as the United States, Japan, Korea and South America will present the fruits of their research. An international jury will select the winners on the basis of 65 projects on subjects as varied as controlling doping in sport, environmentally friendly washing products, a cancer diagnostic kit for home use and a re-designed hydrid car. Five Nobel Prize winners will attend the prize awarding ceremony: 5000, 3000, and 1500 euro respectively will go to the three first, three second and three third projects.
