Brussels, 12/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - European Realities Today, chaired by Hartmut Marhold of the European Movement-Germany, is organising a conference in Brussels on 5/6 October on European Governance: political regulations, structures, procedures and legitimacy, in collaboration with the European Movement-Germany and the Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE), sponsored by Dresdner Bank.
On Friday, Joachim von Harbou, who is a member of Dresdner Bank's Board of Directors, will speak on Corporate and European Governance - The relation between economics and policies; Jerôme Vignon, Advisor to the European Commission, will speak on the European Commission's programme of reform; and Michel Albert, a member of the Bank of France's Monetary Advisory Committee and CIFE President, will speak on Government in Monetary Europe. On Saturday, three workshops will be organised, chaired by Frédéric Lépine of the CIFE, Birger Ortwein of Ortwein Communications, and Bruno Boissière, General Secretary of the European Federalists' Union. European Commissioner for Education and Culture, Viviane Reding, will make the closing speech, and the conference will be concluded by Matthias Pawlowski from Dresdner Bank and Hartmut Marhold.
