Brussels, 04/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Students' Forum (AEGEE), representing more than 17,000 students, held its AGM on 6/8 September in La Valette (Malta). The conference will focus on the "European Education Campaign (Eureca)", a project for 2002 aiming to stress the importance of education for European integration and to draw up concrete proposals for a new education programme for the whole of Europe. We will attempt to set up a platform of interest to academia, the institutions, the private sector, the media and NGOs, signalled Karina Hauslmeier, AEGEE Europe's President, who explained that the project answered the European Commission's call for "a debate on the future of education in Europe". She added that Eureca would provide realistic and practical answers to the Commission's requests.
