Brussels / Strasbourg, 27/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - After the "Conference on Judicial Reform: achievements, problems, outlook", held in Chisinau, on 23 and 24 August, the participants proposed that the authorities of Moldova, the European Commission and the Council of Europe should develop an action plan for judicial reform in Moldova. The plan will define the framework for short and medium term cooperation. It will be regularly updated in order to take into account the progress made and the new priorities defined by the Moldovan authorities and the European partners. The conference was organised in the context of the joint programme between the Commission and the Council of Europe for democratic stability in Moldova.
