Commission funds to tune of 30% budget of new European Reference Centre for Intermodal Freight Transport

Brussels, 22/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Reference Centre for Intermodal Freight Transport (EURIFT) was inaugurated in Hamburg on 15 August. Its task is to provide independent and clear information to support the development on an intermodal transport industry in Europe. European Commission initiative, EURFIT was created jointly by the EU, the cities of Bremen and Hamburg, as well as by private and academic sectors.
