22/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to extend the duration of the "support to independent media" programme until 31 December 2003 (instead of 2002). It plans to continue to provide aid as set out in its decision of 22 December 1999 in order to contribute to reorganisation of the RTV in Montenegro into an independent public service broadcasting service.
