Eleven Member States in Commission's sights for non-communication of national measures

Brussels, 18/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to initiate infringement proceedings against eleven Member States that did not keep it informed of national provisions taken in application of certain directives on maritime safety.

Reasoned opinions were sent to Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Germany and the United Kingdom for non-communication of measures for transposition of the directive on port State control. The text aims to strengthen the...
