CVC allowed to take over a branch of Amstelland

Brussels, 18/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the investment group CVC, operating worldwide, to take a division of Cementbouw Handel & Industries of the Dutch group Amstelland BV. The operation will only have an effect on the Dutch market and to a lesser extent on the Belgian and German markets of building materials. It will not, however, lead to any problem of competition, most of the activities of the parties being complementary.
