Commission divided on approach to adopt to improve pedestrian safety

Brussels, 12/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The decision the Commission took on Wednesday to approve the undertakings by the automobile industry to improve pedestrian safety without for that concluding the planned voluntary agreement (see EUROPE of 12/07/2001, p.13) means real dissension within the College.
