ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisation

- Poland: Belgium's ELECTRABEL, Germany's E.ON, Spain's IBERDROLA and a consortium of Polish companies headed by ELEKTRIM SPOLKE AKCYJNA are the four bidders interested in the part privatisation of eight electricity companies in Poland, announced the Polish Treasury Ministry. Warsaw is planning to sell off around a quarter of each of these companies which between them control 15% of Poland's electricity distribution market.
