First visit by Javier Solana as EU High representative

Brussels/Rabat, 02/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana is carrying out on 3 and 4 July its first visit to Morocco as European Union High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy. During his visit, indicates a Communiqué, he will broach the relations between Morocco and the Union and the situation in the region as a whole, as well as the Middle East peace process and the developments in the Balkans. Official sources in Rabat specify that Mr Solana will be received in particular by the King, Mohammed VI and by the Prime Minister Abderahmane Yousssoufi.
