Brussels, 28/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council of Ministers formally adopted June 25 a recommendation on the mobility in the Community of students, trainees, voluntary workers, teachers and trainers.
The recommendation in particular invites Member States to: - remove legal and administrative obstacles ; - encourage the learning of at least two community languages ; - ensure linguistic training prior to any move ; - develop financial support mechanisms (grants, loans) ; - ensure access to information on the possibilities and conditions for moving. The recommendation is primarily aimed at those people within the Community but includes those from third countries as long as they participate in an education, training and youth community programme.
