IRISH LIFE has sold two of its businesses in the United States to the American group PROTECTIVE LIFE INSURANCE for the sum of $253.1 million. The two activities sold are INTERSTATE ASSURANCE COMPANY and FIRST VARIABLE LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY.
