Brussels, 27/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - Anna Diamantopoulou, European Commissioner responsible for Employment and Social Affairs assured, on Tuesday, Edmund Stoiber and Roland Koch, Minister-Presidents of Bavaria and Hesse, that the regions and local authorities have a key role to play in the implementation of the structural funds and the Community strategy in terms of employment and the fight against poverty and social exclusion.
