Green Light to takeover of Informix Software Inc by IBM (United States)

Brussels, 21/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorised the takeover of Informix Software Inc, a subsidiary of Informix Corporation group that produces "distributed database management systems" (DDMS), by the computer giant IBM. According to the Commission, the IBM share in the market for DDMS both at the European level as at the world level does not raise competition problems. Furthermore, there exist sufficient competing companies that produce and market DDMS at the world...
