21/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will be granting, on a case by case basis, additional time for projects financed by the ERDF but delayed by the foot and mouth disease. It is willing to examine requests for reallocation of aid within the region concerned to the benefit of the worst affected areas, Commissioner Barnier told MEPs from the north-east of England, who had gone to meet him on Thursday morning together with a delegation from the region concerned.
