Friburg, 13/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The 77th Franco-German summit, which took place on 12 June in Friburg ended in particular with the adoption of a joint declaration moving in favour of an "EU initiative" to reinforce the "multilateral instruments of non-proliferation" in particular in the face of dangers of ballistic proliferation (see EUROPE of 11 and 12 June, p.8, concerning speech by President Chirac).
