Brussels, 06/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Commission announced:
A positive decision with regards to regional venture capital funds in England;
A negative decision against an aid in favour of Technische Glaswerke Ilmenau GmBH;
A negative decision against an aid to Iveco;
The assessment of Walloon authorities with regards to the Beaulieu group (carpets) in the framework of the Verlipack case;
Assessment of planned aids to Bahia de Bizcaia (Spain) power station;
Opening of an investigation against an aid that Spain is considering granting to the factory belonging to the Ford car maker in Valencia;
Opening of an investigation into the possible presence of an aid in the framework of the sale of assets in the German steel company Groditzer in favour of Georgmarienhutte;
In terms of competition, the Commission also gave a green light to the creation of a joint venture between NEC and Toshiba in the field of space.
