The bank-insurer EUREKO, 70% subsidiary of the Dutch ACHMEA, acquired 54.38% of the capital in the Greek life insurance group INTERAMERICAN HELLENIC LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY SA (turnover of EUR 416.7 million in 2000) for EUR 977.25 million, increasing its total stake to 79.38%.
