23/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish Presidency has adopted a declaration on behalf of the EU observing that the May 20 elections in Croatia had on the whole gone well, in compliance with international standards, which confirms that Croatia "is a stable democracy on the path to integration into European structures". At the same time, the EU expresses its concern regarding minority participation and representation (Internet site http: //ue.eu.int/Newsroom).
