EP assent for EU accession to four UN regulations

Strasbourg, 23/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament adopted, this week in Strasbourg, four recommendations in which it approves the accession of the European Community to automobile standardisation regulations from the United Nations Economic Commission (assent). By acceding to 78 regulations for standardisation defined by the UN/ECE agreement of 1998, the European Community intends to guarantee the harmonisation of the technical standards applicable to motor vehicles on the...
