Norwegian operator TELENOR has talks in progress for the acquisition of a majority 41.6% share held by American SBC in TELE DANMARK. The operation could be the prelude to a total merger between the two groups that would give rise to the largest telecommunications company in northern Europe with stock exchange capitalisation of over EUR 18 billion.
