08/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The OVP member of the EP, Othmar Karas said he was "deeply disappointed and irritated" at EcoFin's inability on 7 May to reach results over the question of pension funds (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.12). EcoFin's conduct demonstrates that "those really slowing things down" sit in the Council, the EP rapporteur declared.
