BT - BRITISH TELECOM officially announced the sale to VODAFONE of its 20% in JAPAN TELECOM and further 20% in J-PHONE as well as a share package in the subsidiaries of J-PHONE. It will also sell 17.8% of the Spanish AIRTEL. These sales will earn it GBP 4.8 billion. See yesterday's EI.
