The French group DANONE has just acquired 50% of PUREZA AGA, number two in the Mexican market for large home delivered water containers (10 litres and above) and which recorded a turnover of EUR 100 million in 2000 with 3,800 employees in ten factories. This acquisition will enable DANONE to become the leader in the market for processed water, market in which it is already the largest in fresh milk products and bottled water.
