The French group PUBLICIS, the world's number five advertising agency, has announced the purchase of the British agency TRIANGLE (gross margin of £11 million in 2000), Britain's number one independent marketing services group. The cost of the transaction has not been disclosed but was achieved entirely in cash. The purchase of TRIANGLE comes within the framework of PUBLICIS's expansion strategy into marketing services and specialised agencies.
