The Italian group TISCALI has announced the purchase of the British Internet service provider (ISP) and site SPRINGBOARD INTERNET SERVICES LTD, better known by the name LINEONE. This operation, which will enable TISCALI to be classified number four in ISPs in the United Kingdom, is worth 100 million euro (80 million in shares and 20 million cash). LINONE, so far held equally by BT and UNITED BUSINESS MEDIA, had over 1.85 million subscribers end-March.
