General Affairs Council reaffirms EU support for territorial integrity of Macedonia and welcomes moderation from its government

Brussels, 19/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - Following their talks on the situation in the Balkans, and in particular the escalation of violence in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the European Union Ministers for Foreign Affairs adopted, on Monday, the following conclusions with regards to:

FYROM: The Council states its great concern by the escalation of violence in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. It reaffirms its strong condemnation of the attacks by Albanian extremists...
