Jo Leinen's report suggests method to follow, stages and questions to be tackled

Brussels, 14/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - As pointed out earlier, the steering committee of the International European Movement (IEM), which met under the chairmanship of José Maria Gil-Robles, discussed the future of Europe on the basis of a draft report by elected SPD member Jo Leinen. The steering committee felt that the European Parliament, which has now opened the debate, has the ability to establish a precise working programme and conduct the first phase of the public debate.
