Commission adopts emergency measures to reconstitute cod stocks in North Western Scotland

Brussels, 07/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Scientific Committee proved, last November, that the Cod stocks in North and West of Scotland are falling in a concerning manner. The European Commission ruled, on Tuesday, over emergency measures aimed at banning fishing activities until next 30 April in the two areas located, one it the West (Clyde) and the other in the North of Scotland).
