Brussels, 09/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Conducted in November and December 2000 among more than 16,000 citizens in the EU, Eurobarometer 54 shows no overall change in citizens' confidence in European construction and, in particular, confirms that Europeans are optimistic about the trend in employment. Most of them also are in favour of the Union's enlargement.
