09/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Joschka Fischer and Valery Giscard d'Estaing, presently the President of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), met on 6 February in Paris, during the awarding of prizes, respectively, for "Political figure of the year 2000" and "European of the year" by a jury of journalists.
