ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) equipment

The ceramics and plastics branch of the French glassmaker SAINT-GOBAIN and the Japanese company IBIDEN have signed an agreement for the creation of a join subsidiary named IBIDEN DPF FRANCE, aimed at the manufacturing of particle filters for diesel engines. This new company, which should be operational as of 2002 and which will allow to create 200 jobs, will require a global investment of FF 400 million.
