Funding for cooperation between local authorities

Brussels, 05/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved funding for 50 million euro over 5 years for the horizontal "URBAL II" programme. It is a question of extending a programme set up in 1996 to play in favour of networking and experience exchange between representatives of local authorities of the European Union and Latin America. Some 1,100 cities and local authorities in the two regions are currently taking part in the programme, through 8 thematic networks,...
