Increase in consumer confidence and, to a less extent, industry

Brussels, 05/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The results of the regular analysis, by the European Commission (Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs) of consumer and industry feelings concerning the state of the European Union economy show in particular that, in December 2000, the indicator of consumer confidence had risen 2 points in both the Euro Area as in the EU as a whole.
