Brussels, 15/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has approved three concentrations:
a) the purchase of Bank Austria by HypoVereinsbank. Complementary, the activities of both parties will lead to no particular problems of competition;
b) takeover of the German firm Preussag of the French travel agents Nouvelles Frontieres. This takeover is to be a joint-venture with Mr. Jacques Maillot, founder of the French company; it will not increase market the shares of the parties on the Belgian, Spanish, or Irish markets, there where it would have posed a problem, and thus not create a dominant position;
c) acquisition of Hurel-Dubois by SNECMA. This operation concerns the nacelles and thrust inverters sector for commercial and business aircraft. This sector is largely dominated by the American aircraft constructor Boeing. The operation will not therefore lead to the creation of a dominant position.
