Parliamentary Assembly takes stance on situation in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Burundi, DRC, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Haiti

Brussels, 16/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - By adopting several resolutions at its plenary session last week, the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly took stances on:

  • The political situation in Guinea: the Parliamentary Assembly denounces the political nature of the trial which served to remove Alpha Condé from political life in Guinea and prevent him from standing in the presidential elections of 2003.
