Commission sends letter to France following blockade of French ports

Brussels, 31/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - After a request by British authorities to Internal Market Commissioner Frits Bolkestein, the European Commission sent, on 29 August, a letter to France calling for information on the blockade of French Channel ports by fishermen, in the context of their protest against the rise in fuel prices.
