Brussels, 31/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection, Research and Tourism Committees from the EU Committee of the Regions is organising the 4 September in Uusikaupunki, Finland, a seminar dedicated to the contribution of local regional authorities to the development of a European policy aiming to promote tourism, indicates a Communiqué.
Pauliina Haijanen (EPP, Finland) member of the Committee of the Regions will chair the works, to which, in particular, will participate the MEP Rodi Kratsa (EPP, Greek), members of the Finnish Parliament, such as Ilkka Kanerva, representatives from local authorities and the Director General at the Finnish Ministry for Trade and Industry, Bo Göran Eriksson.
The conclusions of the seminar will be presented to the European Commission so that it may have an impact on the future of European tourism policy, notes the Communiqué.
