FRANCE TELECOM has sold its 49.9% stake in the French cable operator NOOS (turnover EUR 180 million in 1999) for the sum of EUR 1.35 billion, to British NTL and to MSDW - MORGAN STANLEY DEAN WITTER. Once the operation has been concluded, NOOS will be held at 50.1% by SUEZ LYONNAISE DES EAUX, at 27% by NTL and at 22.9% by MSDW.
