ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) rail equipment

The German-American group DAIMLERCHRYSLER has sold its rail equipment subsidiary, ADTRANZ (turnover $3.4 billion in 1999), to the Canadian company BOMBARDIER, for the sum of EUR 790 million. BOMBARDIER made a turnover of $2.3 billion in 1999 in the rail sector.
